Residents of Kitoha cell in Kigiro Parish, Kebisoni Sub County, and Kitoha cell of Eastern Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District, received a ray of hope for the construction of their Kitoha Bridge. The bridge is located at the boundary of Kebisoni Sub County and Kebisoni Town Council.
Nuwamanya Annah Tumuramye, the daughter of Retired Rev Emmanuel Tumuramye, residents of Bugyera Kitojo Parish, Buyanja Sub County, Rukungiri District, visited the bridge on Saturday, January 6, 2024. After learning about the bridge’s situation through Radio Boona, she pledged culverts and committed to providing continuous support.
Salongo Asuman Kafureeka Kwesiga, the Chairperson LC1 Kitoha cell, Kigiro Parish, stated that the LC1 committee would invite technical personnel to determine Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and mobilize residents for support through communal work.
Namara Julius, the Chairperson LC1 Kitoha cell, Eastern Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, welcomed Nuwamanya Annah Tumuramye’s contribution. He expressed readiness to mobilize residents and funds to construct and complete the bridge, ensuring the safety of lives and the transport network.
Pastor Posiano Nimusiima, a resident near the bridge, thanked God for Annah Nuwamanya’s intervention. He expressed eagerness to support and raise funds based on the Bills of Quantities budget. Pastor Nimusiima called on well-wishers to join hands with the community in this endeavor.
