The communications officer of the Church of Uganda, Sadiiki Adams, has urged Christians to remain united and support their leaders, emphasizing that through cooperation, all things are possible in Christ.

He made the remarks as the guest of honor during the celebration of eight years of faith stewardship by Rev. Daniel Burengyeya, the parish priest of Kancherere Church of Uganda in Kihembe Sub-county.

Sadiiki praised Rev. Burengyeya as a man of integrity and hard work, encouraging him to continue serving the people of Kancherere with dedication for the development of the parish.

In his speech, Rev. Daniel Burengyeya expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of life and divine guidance throughout his service since 2018. He highlighted key achievements, including the construction of modern toilets, a school, and a coffee plantation that now generates income for the parish.

Rev. Burengyeya also called on Christians to continue working together in faith and love. Over his eight years of service, he baptized 625 children, confirmed 354 individuals, and solemnized 14 marriages.

Preaching during the celebration, Rev. Isabella Apumuza Agella Sansi — former priest of Kajugangoma Church — commended Rev. Burengyeya for his devotion and encouraged Christians to live in harmony and continue supporting one another in Christ.

On behalf of the Christians of Kancherere, Missioner Jackson Makoko thanked Rev. Burengyeya for his dedicated service and presented him with a gift of one million shillings to buy a cow as a token of appreciation.
