Police in Bushenyi District are currently searching for unidentified assailants responsible for the murder of a 21-year-old man who was also robbed of his motorcycle. The victim, Anthony Twinamatsiko, was a bodaboda rider at KIU Stage 1 and a resident of Muziira 11 village, Kabale Parish in Kakanju sub-county in Bushenyi District.
The incident allegedly involves Musinguzi Yusuf, a 53-year-old police officer residing in Cell D, Ward IV, Ishaka Division. It is reported that Musinguzi gave a motorcycle with registration number UFZ 173R (Boxer) to Nabaasa, another rider at KIU Stage 1.
On the day of the incident, Twinamatsiko asked Nabaasa for the motorcycle to run an errand but failed to return. Musinguzi, noticing the rider’s absence, initiated a search, eventually locating and arresting Nabaasa on suspicion of the missing motorcycle. Nabaasa was then detained at Ishaka police.
