Leaders in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality have urged residents to work together to enhance service delivery in the area. This appeal was made during a budget conference held at the council hall in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.

Milton Kasibure, the Deputy Mayor of Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality, stated that the municipality is on the right path towards development. He emphasized the need for all stakeholders to collaborate to maintain this progress. Kasibure highlighted the completion of several road projects, including Kabagarame Road, as key achievements in the previous financial year.

The Town Clerk, Silvelio Mukobi Byarufu, announced that the municipality has allocated UGX 1.4 billion for the upcoming financial year. He outlined various strategies that have been put in place to ensure full collection of the budgeted funds.

Hillary Igambirine, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner for Bushenyi District, emphasized the importance of prioritizing the Parish Development Model (PDM) program. He noted that the program is essential to the government’s goal of transitioning 38% of the population into the money economy.
