Thousands of people from all corners of the country on Saturday thronged Rukungiri town to witness and be part of the 6th Anniversary celebrations of Boona Radio 2023.
The event started with the anniversary walk led by the former Rubabo county legislator Hon Mary Paula Turyahikayo, the kids’ party, and Humura prayers followed by musical performances from different artists both regional and National.
Listeners and well-wishers of Boona Radio from the districts of Kigezi, Ankole, and central regions were seen enjoying every minute of the event that lasted almost 24 hours at Rukungiri main stadium.

Some artists who featured at the event were the Siri regular hitmaker Spice Dian, Hajji Haruna Mubiru, Chris Evans, Rasta Chaz, Eng Jovan, Omega 256, Jojobana, and the Pulse Ug band among others who entertained the revellers to 3 am.
The function was attended by different people including Kanungu resident district commissioner Ambrose Amanyiire Mwesigye who was the chief guest of the day and in his speech, he commended the proprietors of Boona FM for uplifting quality and enhancing technology.

Ekiguuturo Kya Boona radio was graced by different government officials, the business community, and the clergy among others who revealed that Boona radio has tremendously done a great role in transforming communities through quality broadcasting.
Boona Radio 91.8fm known for its brand as “Rugamba Amazima” started operations on 29th October 2017.
