Rt Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, delivered a compelling message during a confirmation service at St. Paul’s Rukore Church of Uganda in Kabale District. He urged parents to actively support their children’s academic pursuits and foster their spiritual growth.
Speaking to a congregation of 200 Confirmants, Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the crucial role parents play in providing for their children’s education. He cautioned against misconceptions that children solely belong to the government and encouraged parents to take responsibility for their children’s well-being. Additionally, he urged the newly confirmed Christians to use the occasion as an opportunity for repentance and spiritual reconnection.
During the service, Reverend Peter Agaba Robertson delivered a sermon focusing on the significance of unwavering faith in one God. He encouraged Christians to face challenges with trust in Him and discouraged seeking guidance from sources outside the church. Robertson reminded believers that there is only one true God to whom they should remain devoted.
