The Right Reverend Callist Rubaramira, the bishop of Kabale Diocese, presided over a mass at Holy Family Buhara Catholic Parish in Kyanamira Sub-county of Kabale District, where he officiated the confirmation of 392 individuals into the Catholic faith.
In his sermon, Bishop Rubaramira offered words of wisdom to the newly confirmed, urging them to uphold the virtues and norms of the Catholic faith and commit to becoming steadfast Christians. He also made a heartfelt plea to parents, encouraging them to lead prayerful lives and serve as exemplary models for their children.
During the Confirmation Mass, Honorable Atwakiire Catheline Ndamira, the Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, expressed her concern about the rising rates of early pregnancies and marriages among teenagers. She called upon the youth, especially young girls, to prioritize their well-being and stressed the crucial role of parents in safeguarding their children and spending quality time with them.
Adding his perspective, Honorable Wilfred Niwagaba, the Member of Parliament for Ndorwa East, advised the youth to abstain from the consumption of narcotic drugs, emphasizing the consequences they might face under recently enacted legislation.
