The North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe on Saturday kicked off his pastoral visit in Bwambara Archdeaconry in Bwambara Sub County as he continues with his Familiarization tour across the diocese.
He was today morning welcomed at the Bugangari -Bwambara Archdeaconry border in Burama where Christians from Bikurungu and the neighboring areas thronged the roads singing and praising the Lord as they welcomed him led the Bwambara Archdeacon Ven George Bazahuza, clergy, and lay leaders among other Christians.
Bishop Asiimwe was escorted by his wife Maama Florence Asiimwe who visited Bwambara for the first time since his enthronement as the 6th Bishop of North Kigezi diocese.
He visited the Rweshama landing site on Lake Edward upon arrival where he prayed for fishermen plus the Rweshama business community whom he asked to give their lives to Jesus Christ.
Bishop Asiimwe then proceeded to Rweshama church of Uganda where he began his pastoral visit in Bwambara Archdeaconry with confirming Christians in the Anglican faith.
Rev George Bazahuza the Archdeacon of Bwambara Archdeaconry thanked Christians for welcoming the bishop and asked the clergy across the Archdeaconry to embrace the same as Bishop will be visiting their church up to Sunday next week when he will conclude with Bwambara Archdeaconry centre.
