The Right Reverend Onesmus Asiimwe, who serves as the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, has urged Christians to repent and strengthen their connection with God.
Bishop Onesmus Asiimwe delivered this message during a sermon delivered during his visit to Kakinga Church of Uganda, situated in the Kakinga Archdeaconry within Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District.
During this visit, Bishop Asiimwe administered the sacrament of confirmation to 307 individuals in the Anglican faith, and a significant number of people also embraced Jesus as their personal savior.
He also noted that in his pastoral visits to various archdeaconries, he has observed a revival of faith, with many people accepting Jesus as their personal savior. Furthermore, the Bishop emphasized the importance of repentance, emphasizing that churches are always open, providing people with the opportunity to pray and seek reconciliation for their sins.
Venerable Amos Katushabe, the Archdeacon of Kakinga Archdeaconry, commended Bishop Asiimwe of the North Kigezi Diocese for his advocacy of repentance and spiritual revival within the diocese. He praised the Bishop for confirming 307 individuals in the Anglican faith and for his inspiring message about revival.
Ven. Amos expressed their commitment to supporting the newly confirmed individuals in their journey with the church, ensuring that they become devoted and faithful members of the Anglican faith.
