The Bishop of Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Assoc. Prof. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa, confirmed over 330 people into Christianity at Nombe Archdeaconry in Mbarara District.
In his sermon, Bishop Mwesigwa urged religious and political leaders to guide the community towards responsible living by focusing on indigenous foodstuffs and products, rather than relying on foreign goods which can sometimes be detrimental. He also expressed concern over the rising criminality in the area, calling on both religious and political leaders to enhance social mobilization efforts to identify and address community challenges that contribute to insecurity.
