Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe, the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, urged Christians to focus on strengthening their relationship with God rather than glorifying their physical bodies, which ultimately decay despite care and nourishment.
During a sermon at St. Peters Nyakinengo Parish in Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry, he emphasized that the human body, though a temple of God, should be dedicated to God’s service and guided by divine principles.
Bishop Onesmus praised the Christians of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry for their hospitality towards him and fellow church leaders and encouraged them to continue supporting their leaders and work together on church development projects.
Winnie Babihuga, the head of laity for Nyakinengo Parish, expressed gratitude to Bishop Onesmus for his visit and commended Rev. Stanley Natukunda for his significant contributions to the church.
Ven. Eldard Kashanje, the Archdeacon of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry, highlighted the successful collaboration between Rev. Caleb and the Christians of Nyakinengo Parish, attributing many achievements to this unity. He acknowledged the support and cooperation of the Christians and urged them to continue backing their leaders for the growth and development of their churches.
