Voters in Ruhinda South County, Mitooma District, have warmly welcomed the nomination of Arthur Atuhwerire Kazoora to contest for Member of Parliament in the 12th Parliament of Uganda, lauding his dedication to grassroots development.

Arthur Kazoora, a well-known figure in the constituency for his voluntary service, was officially nominated today by Dr. Tanga Odoi at the Electoral Commission offices in Kyadondo, Kampala.

Residents across Ruhinda South have hailed Kazoora’s impact in areas including infrastructure, agriculture, financial inclusion, electrification, and clean water supply. Many credit his interventions for tangible improvements in their communities.

Engineer Ananius Tumwebaze from Rurehe Parish highlighted Kazoora’s role in improving the local road network and providing scholarships that have benefited numerous learners. “He is a man of action, not just words,” Ananius remarked, noting Kazoora’s efforts in promoting job creation through industrial investment.

In Mutara Town Council, Kellen Nuwahereza Buregyeya praised the candidate for empowering women through credit and savings initiatives, and for supporting orphaned children with educational opportunities. “He understands the struggles of our communities and acts on them,” she noted.

Counsel Muramira Patrick of Nyakizinga Sub County echoed similar sentiments, applauding Kazoora’s installation of solar-powered street lights—the first of their kind in the area—and for spearheading investment in local industries, including avocado wine and organic manure processing.

In his address, Arthur Atuhwerire Kazoora thanked the people for their overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Ruhinda South. “Our journey is one of unity, service, and transformation. Together, we can unlock the full potential of our constituency,” he said.

His nomination has sparked a wave of optimism, with many viewing his candidacy as a fresh chapter of inclusive and impactful leadership for Ruhinda South.
