One person yesterday died on the spot in an accident that occurred at Bwambara in Rukungiri district
Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman says the accident involved Motor vehicle registration number UAV 764 D/ UAV 597 D Scania white in color driven by Justus Twinomugisha 62 a resident of Railway station cell Kasese municipality Kasese District and a motorcycle reg no UFR 034 R Bajaj boxer ridden by Nazario Tongyerwe 22 a boda boda rider resident of Omwibumba cell Nyarwimuka parish Ruhinda sub county Rukungiri District who died on spot.
The accident occurred on 14/09/2022 at about 5:45 PM at Bwambara when the rider who was trying to avoid hitting crossing cattle instead hit the tyre of the hind vehicle which smashed his head on spot.
Police visited the scene, conveyed the body to Rwakabengo H /Centre 111 for postmortem and Motor vehicle involved was towed to Bikurungu police station pending IOV inspection.
