A total of 95 people in Kabale Municipality have been awarded certificates for having completed a four day specialized training in firefighting and rescue services.
Speaking at the Kigezi regional police fire prevention and rescue office in central division of Kabale municipality during the closure of the four days specialized training in firefighting and rescue services, the Kigezi regional police fire prevention and rescue officer, SP Moses Muhanguzi congratulated the participants for the reasonable efforts put in the course adding that the completion of training comes at the right time when there are increasing cases of fires in school, commercial buildings and other places that require enough manpower.
Muhanguzi further challenged participants and officers in the fire and rescue services directorate to be proactive in sensitizing the public about fire prevention measures.
Those who participated in the training included the senior four and senior six holiday makers, students from tertiary institutions and education stakeholders.
