Seventy-two families worshipping at King of Kings Church, located in Central Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District, received Christmas packages today, Tuesday, 24th December 2024.

The families were provided with meat and rice, a contribution made possible through routine savings and additional support from Mercy Ampumuza Kyamatuku in Canada.

Pastor Posiano Nimusiima of King of Kings Church expressed his gratitude for this initiative, which brings Christians together to share a meal and exhibit God’s love. He encouraged the recipients to share their meals with others to ensure joyful celebrations.

Joram Mucunguzi, Chairperson of the Development Committee at King of Kings Church, explained that the package program was initiated to empower disadvantaged families and ensure they enjoy a fulfilling Christmas.

Babra Nimusiima, the church treasurer, shared her appreciation, noting that the successful implementation of the program was a result of routine savings and thoughtful planning, which ensured needy families were provided with adequate support.

Recipients, including Zipora Tumushabe and Doreen Katushabe, praised God for the generosity, expressing joy and relief as they received meat, which they said would have been otherwise unaffordable.
