Police in Kanungu district are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of 44 year old Yasin Nayegizika a resident of Nyakatunguru cell Lwanga ward Kihihi town council Kanungu district, whose body was discovered within the trading centre on 04/01/2023
According to ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokesperson, the body had multiple injuries all over the body.
The killign was reported to police by Mayanja Rashid, the LC 11 chairman Rwanga ward,
Maate explains that the deceased was murdered at an unknown time at Nyakiyaga cell, Kihiihi ward, by yet unknown suspect(s) and for unknown reasons.
Scene was visited by police, the body was taken to Kihihi H/c 4 mortuary where postmortem was done and the body was handed over to relatives for burial.
Maate called on members of the public who maybe having clues that can lead to the arrest of suspects,to vulunteer so that the suspects are brought to book
