The atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration as Mother Care Nursery and Primary School held a graduation ceremony for 38 pupils transitioning from pre-primary to primary level. The event took place at the school’s headquarters in Rugando Cell, Nyakinengo Parish, Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Rukungiri District.

In his remarks, Mr. Ebyarimpa Cosma, the school director, commended parents for their unwavering support in their children’s education. He expressed gratitude for their efforts in providing scholastic materials and emphasized the school’s dedication to delivering quality education.

“We are committed to nurturing young minds and ensuring academic excellence. We thank you, the parents, for being integral partners in this journey,” said Mr. Cosma.

Hon. Frank Rukanirwa, represented by his political assistant Mr. Ambrose Garyandere as the guest of honor, lauded the school administration for their dedication to academic excellence. He praised the staff for their cooperation, which has significantly contributed to uplifting education standards in the area.

However, Mr. Rukanirwa also raised concerns about individuals hindering development initiatives, citing attempts to sabotage a football tournament in Rujumbura.

Local leaders echoed similar sentiments about the challenges faced by the community. Ms. Dinah Komujuuni Makina, a councilor representing Nyakinengo Parish, acknowledged the improvements in education services but highlighted persistent issues such as poor road infrastructure, water scarcity, and limited electricity coverage. She urged her fellow leaders to advocate for solutions to these challenges.

Mzee Bampayira David, the PTA chairperson, applauded the school management and staff for their efforts in fostering the moral and academic development of pupils. He also appreciated the parents for their consistent support and encouraged them to ensure their children remain engaged during the holiday through constructive domestic activities.

The event showcased the school’s commitment to shaping future generations and the collective effort required to address broader community challenges, ensuring a brighter future for all.
