Kabale Chief Magistrate Derrick Byamugisha has remanded 24-year-old Edmund Agaba to Ndorwa government prison on charges of threatening violence.

According to the prosecution, Agaba, a resident of Rushebeya village in Kitojo parish, Rwamucucu Sub-county, Rukiga district, allegedly committed the offense on January 14, 2025, at Murujanjara village, Rukiga district.

The case, registered as Uganda Vs. Agaba Edmund, states that Agaba threatened to injure ASP John Akankwasa with the intent to intimidate, insult, or annoy, an act contrary to Section 77(1) of the Penal Code Act.

Agaba is scheduled to reappear before the same court on January 28, 2025, for further proceedings.
