According to Twino Erasmus, the head teacher of Kitojo Model Primary School in Bwongyera Sub-county, Kajara Constituency, Ntungamo District, 106 pupils are set to sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
Speaking during a dedication service for the candidates at Kitojo Church of Uganda in Rwankoora Parish, Bwongyera Archdeaconry, South Ankole Diocese, Erasmus mentioned that the P7 candidates have been adequately prepared for the exams. He noted that the teachers completed the syllabus by July and have since been conducting revisions and administering tests to ensure readiness for the PLE.
In her sermon, Reverend Rukundo Winnie, the chaplain of Rwashamaire Vocational Institute, encouraged the candidates to remain confident and face the PLE without fear, emphasizing that it is not different from the exams they have been practicing. She advised them to focus on preparation, trust in God, and remember the importance of prayer, as it can help them recall what they have learned and overcome anxiety.
Several candidates from Kitojo Model Primary School expressed their confidence in their preparation for the PLE, explaining that they are actively revising, participating in discussion groups, and seeking clarification from teachers on challenging topics.
