Trailer Registration No UAS 134R carrying maize flour under the world food program caught fire on Wednesday 16th August 2023 at around 11:00 am at Mayengo near the Katuna border in Katuna town council Kabale district.
Kigezi Fire and Rescue unit responded but could not save much due to fire brigade trucks being grounded despite continuous engagement of the center to have the issue worked upon.
The cause of the fire was as a result of a motor vehicle wiring problem.
No life was affected.
