Police in Mbarara is holding a UPDF soldier Private Allan Turyasiima 25 years on charges of aggravated robbery and murder.
Turyasiima attached to 1st Battalion commando Brigade was found in possession of a stolen motorcycle registration number UFL459R in Ntungamo District at Single Line Lodges.
The motorcycle was stolen in Mbarara city from a boda-boda rider Gilbert Atukwatse who was brutally murdered in Rwentondo cell, Kakoba ward, Mbarara City south on the morning of 22nd September 2022, and his motorcycle stolen.
According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Police mouthpiece, the suspect is behind bars at Mbarara central police station to help Police with investigations and the arrest of other Suspects still at Large.
