The Vice President of Ugandans Below the Age of 40 years (UB4O) Moses Gumisiriza, on Saturday, presented and handed over an accolade to the Minister of Security, Major General Jim Muhwezi Katugugu, as a token of appreciation for his significant role in liberating the country.

This event took place during a fundraising gathering at Nyakibale Catholic Parish in Rukungiri district, aimed at raising funds to support the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund for 2023.

While presenting the accolade, Moses emphasized the importance of recognizing individuals like Major General Muhwezi and the President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency YK Museveni, for their pivotal contributions to fostering peace and development in Uganda.

Moses also made a generous contribution of 1 million Uganda shillings on behalf of Ugandans Below the Age of 40 years (UB4O) to assist the Bishop of Kabale Diocese in realizing the plans for establishing St. Ignatius University.

Additionally, he pledged to reach out to the Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, to invite him to the grand final event of BAAF 2023, with the aim of supporting Bishop Callist Rubaramira’s initiative.

In his remarks, Major General Jim Muhwezi expressed his appreciation for UB4O’s recognition of historical figures like him, who played a significant role in Uganda’s liberation, and he pledged to support the interests of Ugandans Below the Age of 40 years (UB4O).
