The first day of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams especially the afternoon session faced delays in various parts of Kabale and Rukiga Districts.

The Head Teacher of Nyamweru Secondary School, Medard Turamyomwe, reported a thirty-minute delay in the start of the exams, which were supposed to begin at 2:00 pm. Turamyomwe attributed the delay to heavy rainfall and the challenging road network in the region.

Joseph Akankwasa, the area Supervisor of Rubaya, also confirmed that the afternoon exams experienced delays due to heavy rains, impacting the transportation of both morning and afternoon exam materials.

Contrastingly, Franco Jack Tumuhimbise, the Head Teacher of Kamuronko Secondary School in Maziba Sub County, reported that despite the heavy downpour, they managed to start both the morning and afternoon exams on time.

Tumuhimbise added that all 28 registered candidates showed up for the examinations.
