Police in Bushenyi District have arrested two individuals on allegations of attempted robbery.
The incident occurred on 03/08/2024 at Kabulengye Cell D, Ward 4, Ishaka Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.

It is alleged that on 08/08/2024, at around 3:47 AM, Bonney Asiimwe was driving his vehicle, a Harrier with registration number UAZ 312W, from Kampala. Upon reaching Kabulengye Cell D in Ishaka Town, he was confronted by another vehicle, registration number UAL 216P, from which about three men armed with pangas surrounded his car. One of the attackers cut the bonnet of his vehicle.
The driver fired a shot from his personal pistol, scaring away the attackers. As they fled, he pursued them until they lost control and collided with another parked vehicle.
He then notified Ishaka Police Station, which responded promptly and arrested two of the attackers. The police recovered a panga and the vehicle used in the attack as evidence.
