Authorities at St Raphael Nyakanyinya Senior Secondary School in Rwamugoma Parish, Ruhinda Sub County, Rukungiri district are stranded after the school was attacked by unknown assailants this morning who made off with sums of money, and left the night watchman critically, injured and his eye dangling out of its socket.
The injured night watchman has been identified as Tukiryomunsi Ambrose 56, a resident of Butarumwa cell, Ndere Parish, Ruhinda Sub County, Rukungiri district who is currently admitted at Nyakibale Hospital.
A member of the School management committee Mujuruzi Kanyamukwara said that he received a call from the Area GISO alerting him that the school had been attacked
He rushed to the scene and found the victim lying in a pool of blood and collaborated with the head teacher to transport him to the hospital.
The school head teacher Bekunda Johnz revealed says he was called by a staff member about the incident, and he immediately informed the police and organized to transport the severely bleeding victim to hospital.
He affirmed that no properties were stolen, the attackers ransacked the entire administration block and took off with an unspecified amount of money.
