Police in Sheema District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of an unidentified female adult for unknown reasons.
The incident occurred at an unknown date and time in Mushanga Cell, Nyarweshama Ward, Sheema Central Division, Sheema Municipality, Sheema District.
Marcial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson, confirmed that a woman in her mid-20s was brutally murdered.
It is reported that on October 10, 2024, Richard, the LC1 Chairman of Nyamufumura Cell, was checking on his eucalyptus trees when he discovered the decomposing body of the unidentified woman, partially covered with grass.
Tumusiime noted that the body had been decomposing for several days, and dogs had eaten part of the buttocks. The remains were taken to Kabwohe Health Center IV for a postmortem as investigations continue.
