Police in Rukungiri are investigating a serious road accident that occurred last evening at Omukiragiro along the Rukungiri Ntungamo road
Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman says motor vehicle registration number UAK 217 W Toyota Corsa white in color driven by Baguma Richard a resident of Rukondo cell Bwoma parish western Division Rukungiri district who was moving from Kebisoni heading to Rukungiri rammed into motor vehicle registration number UBG 799 Q Fuso fighter from the rear, damaging all the hind tires and forcing it to overturn.
The Fuso Fighter vehicle which was loaded with Matooke was being driven by Bainomugisha Ezra 41 a resident of Buyanja town council Rukungiri district.
Maate explains that Baguma Richard, the driver of the Corsa vehicle sustained injuries and was rushed to Karoli Lwanga hospital Nyakibale for medication.
Both vehicles have been towed to Buyanja police station yard pending IOV inspection.
