The Manager of Centenary Bank Rukungiri Branch Venansio Mpirwe has tipped students to shun luxury things and be friends with great successful educationists for career guidance if they to have a bright future.
He revealed this on Friday in his address while officiating at the farewell function organized by Senior four and Six students at Rwabukoba Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub County, Rukungiri District.
Venansio noted that students waste their time in luxury things including Music and dance, supporting sports, and Beer parties among others instead of concentrating on their studies which is the key to everything in the future.
The former Makerere University Lecturer and former Research Scientist in Australia Robert Barigye Kashoro who hails from Ruhinda called on the government to prioritize education and improve on the current standards.
He revealed that in Australia, job makers are more than job seekers because the country invested in vocational institutions that skill the youth at free and affordable fees.
The School Chairperson PTA Roland Karyeija commended the great work done by the staff that has attracted big enrollment though expressed concern over the scarcity of water and shortage of staff shelter affecting the school.
The School Headteacher Sabiiti Erick hailed the discipline exhibited by the students noting that they have completed the syllabus and hence expecting good performance in the forthcoming Uganda National Examinations Board.
