Rotarian Steven Nsubuga Bewayo, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Rukungiri, emphasized the importance of fostering love within communities for a brighter future and nation during an event held today, June 28th, 2024.

He delivered this message while presiding over the inauguration of 64 students who completed a week-long training course at Kagunga Seed Secondary School in Rwentondo Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

Bewayo encouraged the students to prioritize love, which lies at the heart of patriotism training. He urged them to become agents of positive change by promoting love for their country, enhancing social welfare, and fostering a diligent work ethic.

Vital Bashasha, the Coordinator of Rukungiri District Scouts, urged the students to uphold the knowledge and skills they acquired during the training, aiming to develop morally upright and responsible individuals for the future.

Gershom Twesigye, Chairperson of the Board of Governors at Kagunga Seed Secondary School, expressed appreciation for the training, emphasizing its role in instilling discipline among the students.

Amos Gumisiriza Kazumere, the Head Teacher, valued the training for instilling in students a love for their country, emphasizing that such patriotism is fundamental for national development.
