The Speaker of Rukungiri District Council, Rt. Hon. James Turyamubona, has called on the public to support private investments in their communities not for personal profit, but as a means of promoting local development.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony at Kibara Good Hope Nursery and Primary School in Kibirizi Parish, Buhunga Sub County, Hon. Turyamubona emphasized the role of private schools in attracting workers and suppliers, which in turn boosts the local economy through increased demand for land and raw materials. He encouraged parents to actively participate in supporting school activities to ensure smooth operations and sustainable growth.

Dominic Rutahwire, the School Director, acknowledged the consistent support from parents, which has sustained the school’s first and second-grade programs since its establishment in 2021. He expressed a vision for achieving 100% first-grade enrollment to promote equal educational opportunities in the area.

Caleb Tukwatanise, Chairperson of the School’s Parent-Teacher Association, praised the school for producing students with integrity, creating employment opportunities, and generating a market for local agricultural produce, thereby contributing to wealth creation in the community.

Evalyn Twikirize, Head of the Nursery section, also commended the strong cooperation between parents and teachers, noting that it has fostered a quality learning environment and built trust in the school’s graduates as reliable contributors to primary education.
