Four Schools in Rukungiri district have received 464 iron sheets from the office of the Prime Minister as relief aid to schools which were affected by hailstorms last year.
The Schools are Rubanga, Kishonga and  Rugarama primary Schools in Buyanja Sub County as well as Makobore High School in Kinyasano ward, Western Division Rukungiri municipality.
Agaba Emmy Rubondo the Buyanja sub-county LC3 chairperson revealed this yesterday while handing out Pre PLE exams donated by Buyanja Sub County to the 16 government aided and private primary schools in Buyanja sub-county.
He said that on 20th April 2022, the Sub County authorities petitioned the office of the prime minister seeking aid for their schools that were destroyed by hailstorms .

He further revealed that Buyanja Sub County prioritizes investing in education as the backbone of development and urged teachers to focus on quality teaching so that they can produce first grades in the forthcoming PLE exams.


The Zonal Chairperson for head teachers Beinomugisha Salary commended the sub county authorities for donating exams which he said will contribute to academic excellence.
