School proprietors in Rukungiri District are elated by their exceptional performance in the recently released 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
Expressing his gratitude to God for the remarkable achievement, Kwizera Charles, the proprietor of Rubanga Parents Nursery and Primary School in Buyanja Sub-county, announced that all 30 learners who took the PLE in 2023 secured first-grade results.
Tumwebaze Alex, the headteacher of Graceland Academy in Rukungiri Municipality, echoed this sentiment and credited the success to divine intervention, highlighting that none of the learners at Grace Land Academy failed. Among the 17 students who sat for the PLE, 5 achieved first grade, 11 secured division 2, and 1 achieved division 3.
The overall district performance statistics indicate positive progress compared to 2022, with 717 students achieving Division 1, 3170 attaining Division 2, 1433 scoring Division 3, 473 reaching Division 4, 284 receiving Division U, and 82 placed in Division X. This represents a modest improvement from the previous year’s figures, which included 1063 individuals in Division 1, 3407 in Division 2, 1397 in Division 3, 558 in Division 4, 290 in Division U, and 173 in Division X.
