The court in Rukungiri, on January 16, 2024, adjourned the case involving MUPA Technical Services, the Rukungiri District Local Government, and Kinombe Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited to January 25, 2024.
On July 22, 2023, MUPA Technical Services filed a case in the Rukungiri court, accusing the Rukungiri District Local Government of abruptly terminating their contract for the construction of Kebisoni Seed Secondary School in Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri District. MUPA also took legal action against Kinombe Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited, alleging an unlawful invasion of the construction site.
The court had initially scheduled the hearing for December 12, 2023, but MUPA Technical Services and its lawyer failed to appear, as ordered during the December 12 sitting. Consequently, the court adjourned the case to January 16, 2024.
In an exclusive interview with our reporter, Eng. Godfrey Nshabire, the director of Ketombe-Nyarugunga Construction Company Limited, actively involved in the construction at Kebisoni Seed Secondary School, disclosed that the project is now 99% complete. He stated that the school is poised to open at the beginning of the first term.
