Christians in Rukungiri have been urged to embrace daily thanksgiving to God for the gift of life, while parents were encouraged to exercise patience in their children’s education and remain devoted to serving only one God. This message was delivered during a gathering at All Saints Church, Rujumbura, North Kigezi, this afternoon.

Sarah Musiimenta, who led the session, shared her personal experiences on the benefits of serving only one God and avoiding harmful beliefs and myths. She expressed concern over certain cultural practices and myths hindering girl child education. She urged parents to abandon religious criticism, false beliefs, and misconceptions and instead focus on educating their children while seeking God daily.

Furthermore, Musiimenta advised youth and students to maintain discipline and loyalty, entrusting their home challenges—such as lack of school fees and scholastic materials—to God through prayer. She encouraged them to avoid negative peer pressure and remain focused on their goals. Parents were also reminded to have faith in Christ and exercise patience, trusting Him as the ultimate provider.

Meanwhile, All Saints Church Archdeacon Dickson Kakanyisa emphasized the importance of regular thanksgiving to God, acknowledging Him as the provider of all things and the ultimate protector from both seen and unseen challenges.

He also appealed to Christians to support the construction of Kinyansano Cathedral, urging older Protestants to contribute 20,000 UGX and younger Protestants to donate 10,000 UGX towards the project.

Additionally, Archdeacon Kakanyisa encouraged students to dedicate their lives to Christ during their academic journey. He advised them to practice repentance, maintain steadfast faith, and avoid negative peer influence in schools and institutions to achieve their dreams and future success.
