Ms. Kyarempe Rabbeca Namanya, the Mitooma District Woman Member of Parliament aspirant, has urged voters to reject politics characterized by bribery.
She made this call on Wednesday, 13th November 2024, while addressing mourners at the funeral mass of Julius Byamukama in Rugando Cell, Rwanja East, Mayanga Sub County, Mitooma District.
Kyarempe emphasized that during election periods, new candidates often resort to bribing voters, which ultimately results in poor service delivery throughout their term.
Rev. Father Ronald Kamukama Owahamusitaari, the Assistant Priest of Nyakishojwa Catholic Parish who presided over the mass, called on Christians to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and to shun jealousy and greed in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mzee Lozio Tindikira, the father of the deceased, described his son’s passing as a great misfortune. He shared that Julius had been his caregiver and had lived a life of deep faith.
Robert Karuhanga of Karuhanga Rukungiri, the elder brother of the deceased, expressed profound sorrow at the loss, describing Julius as a humble, hardworking young man with a promising future.
Julius Byamukama passed away at the age of 39 due to lung failure and is survived by one daughter.
