Territorial police in Kisoro District have launched a manhunt for a 29-year-old man, Minsima Jonan, who is suspected to have assaulted and caused the death of 45-year-old Kikooko Agrey.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, April 3, 2025, at around 6:00 PM in Nyamiyaga Village, Nyamiyaga Ward, Nyanamo Town Council. Kikooko Agrey reportedly went to Nyanamo Trading Centre for a social evening but never returned home.
The following morning, Friday, April 4, his lifeless body was discovered lying in a garden of Irish potatoes, with his face stained with what is suspected to be blood. The body was found without a shirt.

Several items were recovered from the scene, including a navy blue T-shirt, a pair of sandals, and a lemon green baby T-shirt. Local residents were able to identify the items, which have since been taken as evidence.
Police detectives and the District Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) visited and documented the scene. Statements have been recorded from several witnesses, and the body was transported to Kisoro Hospital for a postmortem examination.
