The police in Kabale are currently searching for an unidentified vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the tragic death of Joseph Byampala, a 41-year-old mechanic and resident of Rwabarera village, Bubare sub-county, Rubanda district.
Byampala, who was walking as a pedestrian from Rwabarera village to his workplace, was struck by a speeding vehicle at approximately 07:45 on 18/06/2024 along Kabale Bunyonyi road in Ihumbi village, northern division of Kabale municipality.
Following the incident, the scene was investigated, and Byampala’s body was transported to Kabale Hospital mortuary.
Authorities are actively pursuing leads to locate the vehicle involved in the collision.
