Ms. Annita Tumubwine, the manager of MTECH Computer Service Center Rukungiri, has advised parents to prioritize their children’s safety during the ongoing long holiday.
Speaking on Friday, 29th November 2024, during the Top Class graduation ceremony at Nyakanyinya Primary School in Rwamugoma Parish, Ruhinda Sub County, Rukungiri District, Ms. Annita emphasized the need for vigilance. She encouraged parents to involve children in homestead activities, supervise their movements and peer groups, support revision practices, and ensure they receive proper nutrition to safeguard their well-being.
Paul Mubangizi, the former Head of Catechists at Nyakibale Catholic Parish and Chairperson of the School Management Committee, expressed gratitude for the progress of the nursery section. He highlighted the school’s commitment to transforming into a center of excellence for nursery education, which he described as the foundation for future stars in primary education.
Mujuruzi Kanyamukwara, the chairperson of the nursery section, reiterated their commitment to sustaining nursery education and preparing learners for primary school. He called on parents to enroll their children in the program, emphasizing its importance.
The headteacher, Gerald Ahimbisibwe Gabito, commended the nursery section’s management for equipping pre-primary learners with essential skills to succeed in primary education. He appealed to the government to formally integrate nursery education into the education system to strengthen the foundation of learning.
A parent, Ms. Charity Nuwagaba, praised the impact of nursery education, noting that it positions learners for successful careers in the future.
