54 primary school teachers drawn from Nyarushanje Subcounty were yesterday awarded certificates following the successful completion of a 3 week digital literacy course with a call to put in practice what they have been trained in to enhance digital literacy in the fast evolving world.
The call was made by the Nyarushanje subcounty Senior Assistant Secretary Kamugisha Henry who presided over a completion and award giving ceremony that took place yesterday at Peer Link initiative field office in Nyarushanje subcounty Rukungiri District
Kamugisha noted that the digital literacy course has given the teachers and headteachers timely skills and that they should start start submitting soft copy reports to the sub county authorities
He said since the training offered hands on Skills all Headteachers will be required to type their reports noting that even those that had already been submitted in hard copy should be re-submitted.
Kamugisha thanked Peer Link Initiative for the timely innovations that supplement government efforts
The course which started on 3rd october 2022 was organised by peerlink Initiative to impart Digital literacy skills to teachers from Nyarushanje Subcounty
