The police in Bushenyi District are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a middle-aged man, who was killed by unknown assailants for reasons that remain unknown.
Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the Greater Bushenyi police, reported that the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered in a potato garden in Ishaka town, located along the Ishaka Kitagata road.
This incident took place in Bugomara LCI cell, Ward 3 of Ishaka Division in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality, Bushenyi District, on the night of October 18, 2023.
It was reported that Kamahanga, the chairman of Bugomora, received information from concerned individuals indicating that an unidentified person had been murdered and left in a potato garden along the Ishaka Kitagata highway, within Ishaka Division. He promptly went to the scene to ascertain the accuracy of this information and, upon arrival, discovered the lifeless body of an adult male, whose identity remains unknown, in the potato garden.
Tumusiime revealed that the police swiftly responded to the scene of the crime and found the deceased wearing a checked long-sleeved shirt and black underwear, while a maroon trouser, believed to belong to the deceased, was found nearby.
There were signs of a struggle before the fatal incident occurred, and the body was subsequently transported to Kitagata Hospital in Sheema District for a postmortem examination.
