Senior NRM cadre Morrison Rwakakamba has called upon the people of Rukungiri District to put the party above individual interests and rally behind the officially endorsed flag bearers ahead of the 2026–2031 parliamentary elections.
In his message titled “NRM: Time to Heal, Unite and Win,” Rwakakamba unveiled the NRM line-up for Rukungiri District on his X, which includes Mrs. Turyahikayo K. Mary Paula (Woman MP), Mr. Mwesigwa Mathias Rwabugumi (Rubabo County), Gen. Tumukunde Henry (Rukungiri Municipality), and Gen. Muhwezi Jim Katugugu (Rujumbura County).
Rwakakamba emphasized that unity within the party is the cornerstone of victory and progress, urging supporters to give their full backing to the chosen candidates. “Let’s put the party above self and support our flag bearers. Victory is certain,” he declared.
His call comes at a critical time as NRM prepares for a highly competitive election season, with emphasis on healing internal divisions and presenting a united front to secure the party’s success in Rukungiri and beyond.
