Police in Buhweju District are hunting for a man who killed his six-year-old biological son.

Macial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the suspect as Wilbroad  Ayebazibwe, 34 years, a resident of Kamakanda Village, Katara Parish, Karungu sub-country in Buhweju District.

Tumusiime further identified the deceased as Linus Akampwera male juvenile aged 06 years, the biological son of the suspect.

According to Annet Ainembabazi, 31 years, a housewife to the suspect who reported the matter to police said they developed misunderstandings that resulted in the killing.

It is reported that the victim’s mother developed misunderstandings with the suspect husband in this matter.

Tumusiime said in the course of the quarrel, the suspect picked a Panga and tried to cut his wife who dodged the Panga and it landed on the left side of the child’s neck and killed him instantly.

According to police, it was also established that the couple developed a quarrel after returning home from a bar where they had been together.

He said the body was conveyed to Nsiika health center IV for Postmortem as inquiries are ongoing.
