Police in Sheema District are currently searching for unidentified individuals responsible for the death of a 52-year-old man.

The incident occurred between the 18th and 19th of February 2024, at an unspecified time, in Nyamambo 2 Cell, Kasaana Central Parish, within Kasaana sub-county, Sheema District.

Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police, confirmed the incident and identified the victim as Wilson Namara, aged 52, a resident of Nyamambo 2 Cell, Kasaana sub-county, Sheema District.

Reportedly, Namara left his home on the 18th of February 2024 to spend leisure time at Mishenyi trading center but did not return home until the 19th of February 2024, around 2:30 PM, when his body was discovered lying in a farm in Nyamambo by children who were gathering firewood.

Namara’s body bore severe injuries, including deep cuts to the neck, with his stomach and intestines exposed.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that Namara might have been transported from another location to the farm, where he was subsequently killed. The body has been transferred to Kitagata Hospital for postmortem examination.
