Byomuhangi Medard, the chairperson of the LC 1 in Nyamayenje A cell, Nyamayenje ward, Southern division, Rukungiri Municipality, has urged Ugandans to back politicians based on their ability to represent them rather than their party affiliation.

Medard made these remarks during the inauguration of a shallow well in his community, emphasizing the importance of electing leaders capable of addressing local needs. He commended Counsel Isaac Atukunda for spearheading the construction of the well, highlighting the dire situation residents faced with limited access to clean water, which posed health risks.

In addition, Hon. Fred Mucunguzi, the district councilor of the Eastern division, and Hon. Kapesha Johnson, representing the Southern division, echoed Medard’s sentiments, urging residents to protect these vital water sources to ensure their longevity.

Residents expressed gratitude to Counsel Isaac for providing them with clean water and pledged to safeguard the newly established water sources to support the community’s well-being.
