The Kisiizi Church of Uganda Hospital Community, operating in Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District, officially bid farewell to their former Chaplain, Rev Canon Joshua Bwebale.

The community, led by Kwikiriza Herbert, the Head of Laity at Kisiizi Church of Uganda Chapel, organized a formal farewell event to celebrate Rev Canon Joshua Bwebale’s successful tenure as a counselor and his contributions to stabilizing religion in various capacities.

During the farewell event, Enid Bakukuri, the Chairperson LC2 Central Ward and Church Warden at Rumbugu Church of Uganda Parish, welcomed Rev Canon Joshua Bwebale, acknowledging him as a mentor to their church and a leader in the community.

Joselyn Bwebale, the wife of Retired Rev Canon Joshua Bwebale, expressed gratitude to the Kisiizi Church of Uganda Hospital Community for the official farewell and requested continued friendship.

Retired Rev Canon Joshua Bwebale thanked God for the successful journey in his calling and expressed his determination to continue serving as an elder. His journey began in 1984 as a lay leader, and he was ordained as a deacon in 1990, subsequently becoming a priest in 1991.

Throughout his career, he served in various roles, including chaplain at Bugangari Secondary School, Rumbugu Church of Uganda Parish, Kakibaya Church of Uganda Parish, Kyamakanda Bible School, Kyamakanda Secondary School, TASO Rukungiri, and Kisiizi Church of Uganda Hospital.
