According to Tumishangye Barnard, the school’s headteacher, 136 Primary Seven (P7) pupils at Kinyasano Boarding Primary School in Rukungiri Municipality are set to sit for the upcoming Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

During the school’s farewell party for the candidates held yesterday in the school’s main hall, Barnard mentioned that they have fully prepared the candidates for their final exams, stating that the semester has been completed, and the focus is now entirely on preparing for the PLE.

He commended the North Kigezi Diocesan Bishop, the Right Reverend Onesmus Asiimwe, for his unwavering support of the diocesan education sector, specifically for his prayers and guidance to both teachers and students at Kinyasano Boarding Primary School.

Barnard urged the P7 candidates to concentrate on revising, maintaining their discussion groups, and consulting their teachers in preparation for the exams. He also emphasized the importance of discipline as they transition to post-primary levels, noting that many students become overconfident after completing primary school, which can negatively affect their studies.

Mugyenyi Remegio, the P7 class teacher, told journalists that teachers are now focusing on guiding the candidates on how certain PLE questions are structured and how to approach them. He highlighted the school’s strong track record of academic excellence and encouraged the current candidates to work hard to maintain that reputation.

Several candidates expressed their gratitude to the school authorities for providing them with seven years of education, parental love, and care. They attributed their success so far to the close relationship between their parents and the school staff. The candidates pledged to excel in the PLE, revealing that they are actively revising, participating in discussion groups, and seeking guidance from their teachers in preparation for the national examinations.
