Police in Kabale is holding one suspect for questioning over the death of Gadi Aharimpisya 45 a resident of Kanyanjoka village, Kacerere ward, Katuna town council Kabale district.
Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman has identified the suspect as Peace Turyasima , wife to the deaceased
Maate explains that on the 19/10/2022, the deceased and his wife left their marital home in Katuna and went to Ryakarimira, Rubaya Town council to buy a piece of land where they were planning to relocate their home.
After buying the land, the deceased went back home alone, leaving the said wife at her parents’ home in Ryakarimira.
Maate further explains that on the 29/10/2022, at around midday, the suspect together with her daughter one Niwamanya Adrine, arrived at her marital home from Ryakarimira and found her husband long dead with blood oozing from the nose and ears, with cut injury on the right ear and blood stains on the floor.
They alerted the area chairperson one Mugisha Johnson who reported the matter at Katuna police station.
Scene was visited by Kabale team, documented and postmortem was done from the scene.
