The Kabale territorial police are currently caring for a young adult woman who is unable to speak, brought in by concerned citizens last night after midnight.
With the assistance of a sign language expert named Shellina, a student at Solberg College, she has been identified as Caroline Nayebare, aged 19. Caroline was found in a state of distress near Miami Hotel, opposite Stanbic Bank in Kabale municipality. She was taken to CPS Kabale by the staff of Miami Hotel for her safety.
Efforts are underway to locate Caroline’s family, as she was unable to provide details about her origins beyond possibly being from either Kabale or Kisoro districts.
Police has asked anyone who is missing a loved one with a speech disability, they are encouraged to visit Kabale CPS to help identify her and arrange for her return home.
