Muslim leaders in Kabale District remain resolute in their demand for a presidential visit until their request is granted.
The Chairman of the Kabale Muslim District Council, Hajji Isa Tindyebwa, reiterated this call during the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at Kirigime Mosque in Kabale Municipality.
Representing the Muslim community, Hajji Tindyebwa highlighted the absence of a presidential visit during President Museveni’s tenure, expressing disappointment at what they perceive as neglect.
He noted the regularity of the President’s visits to other religious groups in the district while overlooking the Muslim community.
Asserting the unified stance of Muslim leaders, Hajji Tindyebwa emphasized the need for President Museveni to recognize and engage with the Muslim community, echoing their desire for acknowledgment similar to that afforded to other religious groups
