Police in Rukungiri have launched an inquiry into the suicide of an employee of BRAC.
The deceased, Ronie Kahigiriza, a resident of Omuri Itaano in Kebison town council Rukungiri district, was found hanging in his rented room in Bwoma, Rukungiri Municipality on 17th May 2024.
Police at Rukungiri Central Police Station were notified by area leaders, visited the scene, and took the body to Rwakabengo Health Center III mortuary for postmortem. The body was later picked up by relatives for a decent burial.
The reasons surrounding his death are still unknown. Further details to follow.
